How to Make WeChat Stickers
1. Prepare Your Images
To create a compliant WeChat sticker pack, you need three types of assets:
- 8 Main Stickers: Square images (1:1 ratio). Our tool automatically resizes them to 240x240 pixels.
- 1 Banner Image: A 16:9 ratio image, larger than 1MB. This is used for the store listing cover.
- 1 Avatar Icon: A square image (1:1) that will be used as the pack icon.
2. Background Removal Options
If your avatar image has a solid background (like a green screen), you can use our built-in Chroma Key feature:
- Enable "Use green screen key".
- Select the background color using the color picker or the "Use sampled key" button.
- Adjust the "Tolerance" slider to remove the background cleanly without affecting the subject.
- Use "Hue-based key" for better results with gradients or uneven lighting.

How to Create a WeChat Sticker Pack

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need a 1MB+ banner image?
WeChat requires a high-quality cover image for the sticker store. The platform explicitly validates that the uploaded file size is at least 1MB to ensure quality.
Can I use transparent PNGs?
Yes! We highly recommend uploading PNGs with transparent backgrounds for the best look. If you don't have transparent images, use our Background Remover tool first.
Is my data private?
Absolutely. All image processing happens directly in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers.
Can this tool create animated stickers?
No. This tool only prepares static PNG stickers and icons for WeChat. For animated stickers, you will need to use GIFs and WeChat's dedicated animated sticker workflow.
